The Getinge Assured Bowie-Dick Test Card TT (table-top) is designed for the daily monitoring and detection of residual air in small pre-vacuum steam sterilisers operating at 134°C. Residual air can interfere with effective pre-vacuum steam sterilisation. To address this, the indicator card is enclosed in a specially designed pouch that helps prevent exposure to excessively wet steam conditions, which can occasionally occur in small steam sterilisers. The packaging and card design comply with ISO 11140-6 sub-atmospheric cycle requirements.
Each bag of indicator cards includes a metal ring that is attached through a punched hole in every pouch. This ring provides additional weight and stability, helping keep the pouch and indicator in place and preventing movement within the steriliser chamber during operation.
This Getinge Assured product has been tested and verified to deliver equivalent and approved performance for both ISO 11140-6 sub-atmospheric cycles and Getinge Bowie-Dick cycles used in Type B pre-vacuum tabletop sterilisers.
Performance Characteristics
When the steriliser is operating correctly, the indicator graphic will display a uniform colour change from purple to green across the entire image. A brown or uneven green colour change may suggest issues with steam conditions in the steriliser chamber other than the presence of non-condensable gases or residual air.
